GBY — Premium Bilingual Web Experience

Designing and developing a premium luxury marine website focused on bilingual experiences, brand storytelling, and visual sophistication.

Overview

GBY is a luxury marine company representing multiple premium yacht and marine brands. The project required designing and developing a digital experience that reflects the premium nature of the business while supporting both Arabic and English audiences.

The challenge was not only presenting products, but translating a luxury physical experience into a refined digital environment.

The Challenge

Marine and luxury product websites often suffer from one of two issues:

  • Strong visuals but weak usability
  • Informative content but poor emotional impact

GBY needed both.

The website had to communicate trust, premium positioning, product quality, and brand credibility while remaining easy to browse.

Project Goals

The product goals were clear:

  • Create a premium first impression
  • Improve product discoverability
  • Support bilingual navigation
  • Strengthen brand credibility
  • Improve mobile responsiveness

My Role

I handled both design and front-end implementation across the project.

  • UX structure and content hierarchy
  • UI visual direction
  • Responsive front-end implementation
  • Bilingual UX planning
  • Interaction refinement

Information Architecture

One of the biggest UX challenges was organizing large amounts of content across multiple marine brands and product lines.

The structure had to reduce cognitive load while preserving exploration and product depth.

Clear hierarchy, section grouping, and progressive disclosure became key design decisions.

Bilingual UX Design

Supporting both Arabic and English required more than translating text.

RTL behavior, spacing adjustments, navigation flow, and layout flexibility were all considered during implementation.

The goal was to ensure both language versions felt native rather than mirrored afterthoughts.

Visual Direction

The visual language was intentionally minimal and premium.

Large imagery, strong whitespace, elegant typography, and controlled motion were used to create a luxury atmosphere.

Rather than overwhelming users with information, the interface emphasized clarity and visual storytelling.

Front-End Execution

The website was developed with a strong focus on responsive behavior, performance, and visual consistency across devices.

Careful implementation ensured design quality remained consistent between desktop and mobile experiences.

Outcome

The final product delivered a premium digital experience that better reflected the company’s positioning and product quality.

The project strengthened my experience in combining visual design, UX thinking, bilingual systems, and front-end execution within a real client environment.

Great luxury websites do more than showcase products — they communicate trust, quality, and aspiration.
